Merrigum selects its executive

At the most recent board meeting the executive was decided on and portfolios were allotted.

The chairperson is Joe Chant and he will also do the publicity and run the bar; Maureen Shepherd is the secretary; and Lee Chant is the treasurer.

The portfolios are as follows: John Firmer will be the greenkeeper, Carmen Quattrocchi will look after the surrounds and assist with purchasing for the bar, and David Pettifer has selection and match committee duties.

John Bailey will help when available as he has some surgery in the near future.

Our green is starting to take shape and we are grateful to Shane Walshe for his advice.

Our working bee is at 10am on Thursday and pennant practice follows at 4pm and again on Saturday at 1pm.

We had a good roll-up on Saturday, but need to see all of our potential players as soon as possible.

The commencement of pennant is Saturday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 9.

The board decided that membership will be $125 for seniors and $20 for juniors.

Social membership was set at $20, but as yet we have not set any meal prices because it is not yet known when we will be able to enjoy the company of all our friends and members in the clubrooms.
