With the markers on the plates for the medal round, only one player tamed the course. David Matthews provided the highlight of the day with the rest lumbering. David carded an impressive 61-15-46 to win the medal as well as B Grade. Runnerup was Trevor Price, who was 10 shots away with 71-15-56. A Grade went to Peter Barrette with 63-8-55 after a countback from Aaron Baker 65-10-55. Geoff Berry won C Grade on 74-22-52. Runner-up was Bob Smith 74-18-56. Mary Elliott won the women’s medal with 76-20-56 to also claim A Grade. Lyn Fraser won B Grade with 90-26-64. Runner-up was Marg Tucker with 87-23-64. Ball winners were Heather Sleeth, Lana Mcinnes, Mick Mcinnes, Tony Potts, Tom Hogarty, Greg Woods, Michael D’augello, Rick Walsh and Doug Cox. Nearest the pins went to Peter Barrette on the 1st and Heather Sleeth on the 9th. The 18th went to Mick Sullivan.

The men played a stroke event on Wednesday with David Kuiper carding 66-10-56 to win A Grade. Runner-up was Paul Price with 64-757. Third went to Ed Mcquienn with 66-9-57. Phil Tucker showed some form to win B Grade with 66-1650. Runner-up was Trevor Price with 71-16-55. C Grade was won by Scott Childs with 83-29-54. Andrew Phillips was second on 75-21-54. Third went to Charlie Anderson with 79-22-57. Ball winners were Bryan Prendergas­t, Graeme Gordon, Phil Currey, Sam Attardi, Peter Barrette, Mel Lusher and Steve Piggott. Nearest the pin went to Kevin Bauerle on the 1st and Ed Mcquienn on the 9th for the voucher from Ky Pizza and Pasta. Doug Cox was nearest on the 15th for the voucher from Clive Coventry Funerals. Sam Attardi was nearest on the 18th for the voucher from Kyabram Main Street Butchery.

Friday golf nine holes: Over 20 players took out cards for the “hit and giggle”. Players can form their own group starting from 3pm.

Bingo: Wet conditions in NSW saw the big bucks game revert to an ordinary game. Patrons were happy with officials throwing in another $100 to boost the prize.

The star flyer game was also a bonus with the lucky number coming up providing another cash handout. The jackpot on the last went at 48 calls. A lucky punter collected $400.
