HEATHCOTE DISTRICT FOOTBALL NETBALL LEAGUE
LEITCHVILLE-GUNBOWER
The Bombers finished the season rooted to the bottom of the ladder, going winless.
On the netball court, A-grade extracted one win for the year.
But the wheels are turning at the Bombers, with the club appointing a new senior coach to succeed the departed Cam Van Florestein.
Tim Bannan is now at the helm and he’s keen to see the young Bombers reinstated to the top of the league hierarchy.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” Bannan said. “They’ve got some really good young talent.
With raw talent it’s much easier to teach them the ways and rigours of senior footy.
“It’s a really big challenge, but it’s something that I have done over the years.
“The most pleasing thing is their assets are pretty good.”
The Bombers have welcomed back premiership player Hoby Bussey, along with Strathmerton midfielder Sam Lewis and Koondrook-barham young gun Tom Guerra.
Meanwhile, Sona Hore, Gemma Baxter, and Gemma Angove headline the commitments on-court as the Bombers look to improve on last season, while Kate Donehue and Ash Bradley have stepped away from the coaches box.
