Migrant worker agreement info session

Campaspe Shire Council will allow employers to gain a better insight into the Goulburn Valley Designated Area Migration Agreement at a special information session later this month.

The GV DAMA opened for applications in March, to sponsor migrant workers and provide a pathway to permanent residency.

Campaspe Shire Council Mayor Chrissy Weller said interested employers would be able to find out more about the DAMA program at an upcoming information session hosted by the Department of Home Affairs.

“What we’ve been hearing from the business community is that local workers are hard to come by,” Cr Weller said.

“This program provides employers with the opportunity to sponsor skilled and semi-skilled workers from overseas.

“Experts from the Department of Home Affairs will be visiting Campaspe Shire to inform employers of the process and to answer any specific questions.”

The information session will be held on Monday, May 23, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm in the Echuca Library meeting room.

To secure your seat, go to and search for “GV DAMA Echuca”.

There is also an online session available on Tuesday, May 24, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. To register for this session, go to: https://n-session-online-tickets-326889323767
