Festival logo revealed

- By Dylan Brown

A St Augustine’s College student with artistic flair has won Kyabram Tomorrow’s ‘design a logo’ competition, as the development organisation launches its October Kyabram Tastes and Tunes festival.

Ella Sinclair beat a crack field from both her own school and Kyabram P-12 College to win the month-long competition.

Ella receives a $250 gift voucher, which is sponsored by Hinchliffe and Greed Real Estate and P and T Chiswell.

Carmen Nicholson, who looks after the promotion of the event, said organisers were excited by Ella’s design, as it matched the vibe they were going with for Kyabram Tastes and Tunes.

“We were lucky to have so many fantastic entries — it made it difficult to pick a winner!” she said.

“However, we were all so impressed with this design by Ella Sinclair from St Augustine’s College. Congratulations, Ella.”

Allan St will play host to Kyabram Tastes and Tunes in October, the event taking significant steps forward in the planning process in recent weeks.

The street will be closed on Saturday, October 22, with a 5pm start to the event, which will continue until 10pm.

The event will include live music, outside dining and plenty of activities for children.

A popular local performer is earmarked to be one of the music acts on the night, as well as many others still yet to be revealed.
