Parkland women


May 3rd saw the second round of the Club Championsh­ips played with a field of 31 ladies participat­ing.

Performing good consistent golf in recent weeks is Heather Sleeth who again achieved the top honours in A-grade with a score of 75-1956 net.

Chris Kelly took out a convincing win in B-grade carding 78-22-56 with Pam Spokes as runner-up finishing her day with 88-25-63.

Showing the way in C-grade with the winning score last week was Di Bruhn who this week produced another good effort to take the top spot again with 84-28-56. Di Day was the runner-up in this section with 86-29-57.

Ball competitio­n winners were Nola Arnold 57, Faye Glover 57, Pauline Laidlaw 59, Geraldine Prendergas­t 60, Mary Elliott 62 and Kathy

Bell 62.

Nearest-the-pin on the 5th was the Jackpot won by Heather Sleeth while Nola Arnold with her second shot won the 14th.

Ky Pizza and Pasta Award was for the best net score and was won by Di Bruhn after a countback from two others and the best Scratch score for the day of 74 was played by Nola Arnold.
