CREEK CORRIDOR PLAN APPROVED
City of Melbourne councillors have voted to approve a plan to transform the Moonee Ponds Creek corridor in a rapidly developing area of Melbourne’s north-west by introducing a diverse mix of open public spaces and revitalizing the creek so that it becomes “a rich corridor of biodiversity.” The final Moonee Ponds Creek Strategic Opportunities Plan notes the urgent need for developing innovative flood management strategies as well as responding to the increased demand for open space and social infrastructure. McGregor Coxall are the lead consultants on the project, with Wave Consulting also contributing to the plan’s development.
