JURY COMMENT
This exhibition for the Internationale Gartenaus stellung 2017 (International Garden Exhibition) in Berlin celebrates the Australian landscape as one that has always been shaped by cultural processes. TCL articulated Indigenous fire-management processes as a largescale cultivation of the environment that results in plant and ecosystem evolution. A series of textural spaces reflect the stages, spaces and vegetation of these processes. The project is a leading demonstration of the capacity of landscape to reflect culture, temporalities and intertwined relationships.

JURY COMMENT
Swan Lake Park in Wuzhong exemplifies the potential for landscape architecture to provide recreational, ecological and social benefits in places of rapid urbanization. Across twenty-four hectares, the park combines experiential spaces nested within circulation connections and large-scale sustainability initiatives. The collaboration of the design team is evident in the high quality of the design and its execution. The project carefully crafts a huge variety of precincts and connections as well as green infrastructure that is critical to the growing city.
