JURY COMMENT
The Oxley Creek Transformation Master Plan is a bold vision that seeks to restore and conserve a degraded but important natural waterway among Brisbane’s urban and industrial landscapes. Through its focus on environmental and social sustainability across the catchment scale, the plan displays an impressive consistency in its approach to land management at a time when water and biodiversity conservation must be crucial considerations for large landscape regeneration projects.
The project demonstrates the potential for landscape practitioners to encourage outcomes that are sustainable for the environment and for people, and that also enable complementary economic opportunities.
