Jury comment
The Murama Healing Space and Dance Ground provides long-overdue recognition of the need for dedicated places for Indigenous communities to gather and participate in cultural and spiritual activities. The project demonstrates excellence in collaboration both in its co-creation and through its ongoing use as a hub for local, regional and international indigenous arts and a place of knowledgesharing and the celebration of cultural values. This is a project that delivers beyond its physical manifestation, providing opportunities for cultural revival, shared learning and social benefit, as well as bringing new knowledge to the landscape architecture profession through its co-creation process.
