NEW POLICY BUILDS GENDER EQUALITY

Launched at the start of 2022, the Victorian government's Building Equality Policy aims to build women’s participation in the construction industry. The policy implements on-site and apprentice-trainee quotas and requires suppliers to develop Gender Equality Action Plans. These requirements will apply to all publicly funded construction projects worth $20 million or more, and contractors will need to monitor full supply chains.
