The talented members of the Coolum Art Group have been busy preparing for their spring exhibition. There will be traditional and contemporary painters working with all kinds of media such as acrylic, watercolours, oils and pastels. Federal member for Fairfax Ted O’Brien will officially open the show on Saturday, September 24 at 2pm. It’s free entry, so come along, meet the artists and admire the fantastic displays. A number of works will also be available to purchase as a result of these forays onto our beaches and the hinterland landscapes of our beautiful Sunshine Coast.

PINKTOBER® MOVIE NIGHT
October 5 Time: 6:30pm for 7pm screening
Where: Event Cinemas, Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore. In support of the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Program, join in a private screening of Bridget Jones’s Baby. AUSSIE WORLD’S COMMUNITY FUN NIGHT

Where: Aussie World, 73 Frizzo Rd, Palmview.
To coincide with kicking off the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games, The Sunshine Coast Police community invites you to a family fun night at Aussie World. Tickets are $30 per person and are on sale until October 7. Early bird tickets are on sale now and are $25 per person. This gives you unlimited access to all rides and attractions for three hours. Children three years and under are free.
BUDERIM GARDEN FESTIVAL

The Buderim Garden Club is holding its annual festival and this year’s theme colour is blue. The two day event will include a spring flower show, photographic competition and a grower’s plant market. Tickets are $15 and are now available at Manawee Nursery, the old Buderim Post Office, Buderim Newsagent or Bendigo Bank Buderim. Pre-booked groups of 10 or over will get a discount to $12. ORIGINALS MUSIC FESTIVAL

After selling out in its first two festivals, this year’s lineup is living up to expectations. Catch The Living End, Thundamentals, Dune Rats, Remi, Tijuana Cartel, Young Franco, Odd Mob, Sahara Beck, The Belligerents and more. This year, camping for over 18’s has been added for the first time which allows festival goers to arrive on the Friday and camp for two nights.
