The Sunshine Coast’s creative spirit is set to take over the region for 10 days filled with arts, culture and creativity. More than 200 events in visual art, film, literature, performance, street art, comedy, music, theatre and exhibitions will make up the Horizon Festival. The festival provides a platform for collaboration and artistic expression, develops emerging and experimental works, and encourages projects which foster growth and leave a legacy for the region. NOOSA CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL
August 26 Time: 12noon-6pm
Where: Noosa Reef Hotel, 19 Noosa Dr, Noosa Heads. Twenty breweries small and large from across Australia will be at the one spot a day full of beer, food and good times.
Go on a delicious journey of sipping, sampling and tasting some of the 80 beers, craft beers and ciders as well as international food stalls serving up authentic chews.
Chat to the people behind these brews while trying their products. There will be talks on brewing techniques, face painting, balloon making and a jumping castle to keep the kids busy as well as charity raffles in support of Breast Cancer and Sunshine Butterflies. Entry is a gold coin donation with all proceeds donated towards these charities.
MALENY MUSIC FESTIVAL

Enjoy the friendly vibe of homegrown and international artists while connecting with the local community at the Maleny Music Festival. Come for one day or for all three. The weekend is filled with talented musicians, chances to try out new things and performances with a difference.

Save the date! The Vintage Calendar Girls will present their 1950’s Audrey Hepburn inspired calendar with a delectable dinner and dessert cocktail evening. The exclusive edition print for 2018 features Australian entertainer and Dancing with the Stars judge Todd McKenney, the gorgeous celebrity queen Cherie Barber, TV presenter and celebrity stylist Kate Bollard, founder of The Next Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Centre Rhiannon Tracey and Sunrise host David Koch. Supporting the not-for-profit local charity, the Beautiful You Cancer Program, entry to this treasure chest of pre-loved goodies is $2 with all proceeds supporting women with cancer. It is also appreciated to donate an old piece of jewellery or a handbag you no longer use to be sold with proceeds going towards setting up the Beautiful You Retreat. Want to hold a stall? Stall bookings are $69 which includes a 3x3 area for you to set up your own trestle table and/or racks. Set up is from 5am-7am as doors open to shoppers at 7am.
