Nokia comes knocking

Life & Style Weekend - - STUFF - with Geoff Egan

NOKIA started its return to smartphones with a range of cheap, entry level phones. But the new Nokia 8 is a return to high-end flagship phones to target Samsung, Google and Apple.

The Nokia 8 is targeting heavy social media users – especially livestreamers. The android phone will let you livestream or take photos using the front and rear camera simultaneously. To back that up the Nokia 8 has 13-megapixel front and twin rear cameras.

Whether what Nokia is calling a #bothie will catch on though is another matter. The Nokia 8 might not become the same iconic bit of tech like the company’s phone from the late ’90s and early 2000s, but it’s the first step in what could be a big comeback. Price $899.
