WISHLIST’S FIRST TEDDY BEAR PICNIC AT COTTON TREE PARK RASIED FUNDS FOR LOCAL DEMENTIA PATIENTS
The first Wishlist Teddy Bears’ Picnic happened on Sunday, October 29 at Cotton Tree Park. The event was designed to raise much-needed funds for dementia patients at Nambour Hospital. Those who attended enjoyed an interactive puppet show, a jazz and blues band, Billy’s Buddies demonstration, jumping castle, storytelling, face-painting, pony rides, roving entertainers, children’s yoga, reptile encounters, food stalls, a Teddy Bear Hospital and more. Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe said the event will raise funds for a Dementia Garden including the installation of fittings, furnishings and equipment at the new Acute and Restorative Care Unit at Nambour Hospital.
