SIX NEW LOCAL BREWS

Life & Style Weekend - - TASTE - WORDS: LAYNE WHITBURN

IF YOU live on the Sunshine Coast and love beer, chances are you’ve visited Brouhaha Brewery in Maleny. This independent little brew pub tucked away in the hills of the hinterland has introduced 42 different beers since opening in mid-2016 and they will debut six new beers today at the inaugural Craft Beer and Cider Festival. Founder Matt Jancauskas said the Sunshine Coast is their watering hole so they want to be exciting and seasonal. Mr Jancauskas said Brouhaha Brewery likes to “toe the line” with their beers and make people challenge themselves but they are bringing some “sessionable” beers too. The brewery was founded by locals for locals, with a mission to share the love and art of craft beer with the community while passing on the knowledge and skill that goes with it. Taste your local drop and learn all about the brewing process today at the Sunshine Coast Craft Beer and Cider Festival or drop into the brewery at 6/39 Coral St, Maleny.
