NAUGHTY AND NICE
THIS MARRIAGE OF CHOCOLATE, MACADAMIAS, BLUEBERRIES AND BUTTERY PASTRY IS MADE IN HEAVEN
Like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, these are a few of my favourite things. When I shot this dish with photographer Miranda Porter, I was concerned that it was an unrefined assembly of crunchy, bittersweet chocolate naughtiness. Yet, when we tasted it – perks of the job – it was a lesson that combining crunchy, buttery pastry with a silky chocolate cream isn’t half bad. I imagine once the von Trapps made it to Switzerland they would have enjoyed this as much as their beloved crisp apple strudel.
