WOOD­FORD FOLK FES­TI­VAL

Es­cape from ‘re­al­ity’ and im­merse your­self in cul­tures from near and far. The Wood­ford Folk Fes­ti­val is a place where artists in­spire, com­mu­nity spirit en­gulfs and life me­mories are made.

This year, the Fes­ti­val features con­certs, dances, street theatre, writ­ers’ pan­els, a film fes­ti­val, an en­tire chil­dren’s fes­ti­val, an en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­gram fea­tur­ing talks, de­bates and films, art and craft work­shops, cir­cus per­for­mances and work­shops, pa­rades and a spec­tac­u­lar fire event.

NYE MOOLOOLABA

De­cem­ber 31

Time: Fom 4pm.

Where: Mooloolaba Es­planade.

Wel­come 2018 in style at Mooloolaba Beach. This fam­ily-friendly event will trans­form the beach into party cen­tral.

There will be rov­ing street en­ter­tain­ment, chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties, in­flat­able rides and de­li­cious food will be avail­able from lo­cal ven­dors, restau­rants and cafes on the Es­planade.

En­ter­tain­ment kicks off at 4.30pm with a range of live mu­sic in­clud­ing An­drea Kir­win Trio and The Float­ing Bridges. The fire­works dis­play will light up the sky at 8.30pm and the sec­ond at mid­night to cel­e­brate the new year.

NB: Chem­i­cal glow sticks and glow prod­ucts will not be al­lowed into the event. Bat­tery-op­er­ated LED prod­ucts are per­mit­ted.

NYE NAUTI PARTY

Where: Noosa Boathouse, 194 Gympie Tce, Noosav­ille.

Ahoy party pi­rates, there’s yachts of fun to be had at this nau­ti­cal-themed NYE cock­tail party at the Noosa Boathouse. Just $49 gets you three hours of canapes (6–9pm), live mu­sic to grove your way into 2018 plus fire­works will be light­ing the sky at 9pm.
