SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL

Round 6 of the world’s premier netball club competition comes to Sippy Downs for a pulsating clash at USC Stadium. 2017 premiers the Lightning host last season’s minor premiers the Vixens in what will undoubtedly be a battle royale.
The Melbourne club has started the year in slightly better form and sits just one place and one point above Sunshine Coast on the ladder, but the Lightning ladies took the points last time the two teams met. For ticketing information head to the Lightning’s website.
SUNSHINE COAST FASHION MARKET

Fancy a shopping spree without breaking the bank? Get the girls together for a fabulous morning out. There are more than 50 sellers with an awesome range of sizes and styles to suit all.

CALOUNDRA STREET FAIR
Where: Bulcock Street, Caloundra
Meantime, a little further south you’ll stumble across a hidden treasure at Caloundra featuring unique stalls for the family to enjoy.
With activities for kids, handcrafted locally made products and art, live entertainment and street theatre, you’ll have a smile from ear to ear.
Enjoy fresh food and juices, tasty coffee and delicious sweet treats. Set in beautiful downtown Caloundra, the main street is surrounded by cafes, boutiques and specialty shops and only two blocks from beautiful Bulcock Beach.
MORETON CUP RACEDAY

A feature raceday on the Sunshine Coast Turf Club’s calendar with two Group 2 and five Listed races to keep punters busy. The first jumps at 12.42pm with the last at 5.50pm. For those more interested in frocks and fascinators than thoroughbreds, why net get a group together and spend spend the day socialising at the track? There’s live entertainment by Pat Nicholson too so book your ticket online for $15 or buy it at the gate for $20.
WEDDING OPEN DAY
Where: The Surf Club Mooloolaba
Tying the knot but not sure where to celebrate the momentous occasion? Perhaps a trip to picture-perfect Mooloolaba where you can view a truly stunning wedding space. Exclusively located on the second floor, boasting floor to ceiling glass with complete coastal views towards Noosa, the venue offers wedding receptions and ceremonies from 10-200 guests, ranging from cocktail to a three-course menu. The Surf Club has the flexibility to suit your needs and budgets.
Head along and meet the staff, some of suppliers and taste the delicious food and wine on offer. This is a free event open to the public.
SLOW FASHION – ARTFUL LIVING

Dip your toes or immerse yourself in the world of design and sustainable fashion. Sunshine Coast Council’s Fabric – Slow Fashion, Artful Living program brings art and sustainability together in a curated program of design and fashion inspired activities. Printing on cloth with natural dyes is run by Anne Harris and costs $80.
You’ll learn how to create images and prints using sustainable methods, and how to make and source your own natural dye.
During the workshop you’ll use cotton, linen and silk fabrics, plus you’ll take home five squares (30x30cm) with your own unique art. Booking are required at www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/arts
NOOSA BREWERY TRAIL
Where: Various locations, Sunshine Coast
Sunday beers never tasted so good when you take a tour of the amazing breweries in the Noosa region.
Visiting Land & Sea, Eumundi Brewery and Copperhead in Cooroy, you’ll get lunch, a tasting paddle of beer at each venue, a behind the scenes brewery tour, a stubby holder, a meet and greet with the brewers plus return transfers included.
You’ll be picked up from one of the following locations before making your way to the first stop of the day; Moto Bar, Noosa Junction (12pm), Noosa Heads Bus Terminal (12.10pm) or Flux, Gympie Terrace Noosaville (12.20pm).
