FLAGGING SWELL TIMES AHEAD

COUPLE’S NUPTIALS HELD ON COOLUM’S GOLDEN SANDS

Life & Style Weekend - - WEDDING BELLS -

Carol Mckenzie and Lyndon Smith’s Coolum Beach wedding plans went swimmingly ... once Mother Nature came on board. The golden sands next to Coolum Surf Club were looking as beautiful as ever under blue skies for the couple’s winter nuptials on July 21. But when Cloud Nine Weddings arrived to style the picturesque ceremony, local lifesavers had the flags set right where the casual ceremony was planned to take place. But after re-assessing the beach, the lifesavers deemed surf conditions had changed and moved the flags further along, which helped make photographer Lou O’brien’s backdrops much prettier. A total of 50 guests witnessed Carol and Lyndon tie the knot. The happy couple lives south at Deception Bay.
