It was the Sunshine Coast’s version of a TV classic sit-com and family members couldn’t be happier. Sherie O’connell married Ben Mclune at Black Swan Park on Cotton Tree Esplanade, Maroochydore, on September 15. “Our wedding was a Brady Bunch-style wedding,” Sherie said. “We each have three children. All of them stood beside us on our special day. “The groom and his children wore navy and the bride’s children wore aqua blue. “Our three beautiful granddaughters were our flower girls and their dresses were made with love by their great-grandma.” A total of 50 guests came from as far as Melbourne and Proserpine for the ceremony, conducted by celebrant Cassandra Neilson on a beautiful spring day. Wedding planner Barefoot Weddings styled the big day, which included a lunch reception at nearby Duporth Tavern. The happy couple flew to Hawaii for their honeymoon and now live at Maroochy Waters.
