THIS IS ME
A REGULAR INSIGHT INTO SUNSHINE COAST PERSONALITIES
Raeleen Kaesehagen is a passionate Sunshine Coast resident and the founder of mudputty. She explains that mudputty aims to fuel people’s interests by connecting them with their “tribe” by making it easy to find and book local classes, activities and workshops online.
The website offers a directory of hundreds of activities, with classes, workshops and events for every age, budget and interest.
Topics covered range from yoga and meditation to music and art lessons. You can also filter classes by location, age, time and category.
1 Favourite time of day and why? Early morning – 5am to 6am. It’s when the beach is at its best.
2 What excites you? A good cause, challenges, doing something different, learning something new, seeing other people’s excitement, and rainbows (yes, I still love seeing a rainbow).
3 Favourite sport? Player or spectator? Rock climbing and kite surfing as a player, pre-kids. I enjoy stand-up paddling right now as I can do it with the kids.
4 Best childhood memory? Camping – using the inflatable mattress as a boat, cruising down the creek.
5 Where were you born? Brisbane.
6 Where would you like to holiday? The Kimberley, Western Australia. It’s one 4WD holiday I haven’t been on yet and would love to go.
7 Cats or dogs? Do you have a pet? Do you count fish as pets?
8 Who are your heroes?
No one specific. I just love reading about people who have led or lead amazing, inspiring lives ... people who do things on their terms, who do things from passion and creation.
The best thing is, you don’t have to go far to meet a hero. They’re all around us.
Our community heroes, the ones who volunteer, do things for the environment, for animals, for others – I just love hearing their stories and seeing how amazing everyone is.
9 Dream job? I just created it – founder of mudputty.
10 What will you be doing in years? 10 Making a difference in people’s lives around the world, helping everyone, everywhere fuel their interests and find their tribe.
11 What’s the best thing about living on the Sunshine Coast?
You get to live where other people dream to travel.
You can create your ideal lifestyle here, whatever that looks like for you.
