Im­pres­sive din­ing venues and eater­ies are scat­tered across the Sun­shine Coast, with our talented chefs among some of the best in the coun­try.

As a lead­ing news source, the Sun­shine Coast Daily recog­nised its po­si­tion to sup­port these lo­cal busi­nesses with its large-scale Sun­shine Coast Restau­rant of the Year Awards.

Each week, a restau­rant will be mys­tery re­viewed by one of our six judges, who will base their scores on more than just the food.

They will also cri­tique the ser­vice, am­bi­ence, wine list, and the clean­li­ness and pre­sen­ta­tion at the restau­rant.

Restau­rants will be sec­tioned into four cat­e­gories: ca­sual din­ing, so­phis­ti­cated/fine din­ing, club/func­tion cen­tre restau­rants, and Asian/mid­dle Eastern cui­sine.

Each week, a re­view of a fi­nal­ist will fea­ture in a dou­ble-page spread in the Satur­day Week­end mag­a­zine of the Daily, along­side a series of pho­tos showcasing the restau­rant at its best.

By the end of this year, an ar­ray of dif­fer­ent venues and cuisines will be re­viewed, with the win­ners in each category an­nounced, to­gether with an over­all Restau­rant of the Year Award win­ner.
