RELAXED COUPLE TIE THE KNOT WITH FOREST BACKDROP
Arainforest backdrop at Beerwah Hideaway was the ideal setting for the rustic/boho wedding of Simone Jackson and Sam Phillips on February 16.
The cool, calm and collected couple chose the venue’s rustic shed for the intimate but laid-back ceremony, before partying with their 72 guests in the function room.
Simone and Sam, of Jimboomba, chose non-traditional outfits that they felt more comfortable in and gave their bridal party similar freedom in their attire.
They had no bridal table, instead choosing to join their family and friends at a guest table for the reception after a photo shoot with photographer Brook Hill, of @brookbehindthelens.
The magical day was the culmination of their wedding journey since Sam’s proposal.
“We were in the process of building our
tiny house in Brisbane during January 2018,” Simone remembered.
“After spending the day working on the house, Sam and I decided to relax with some wine and nibbles, overlooking the dam, inside our half-built home.
“After playing some music on our portable speakers, Sam switched the song over to one that was quite familiar.
“It was a song that has been very special to us since meeting back in 2011.
“While I watched Sam began to fumble nervously through the picnic rug, I started to get an idea of what might be happening.
“He pulled out a small wooden box and popped the question with our two dogs by our side.
“It was simple and low key.
“A beautiful memory that we’ll have forever.”
