LOVE STAYS STRONG
COUPLE ELOPES TO KINGS BEACH IN INTIMATE CEREMONY
| WEDDING BELLS
Sometimes life gets in the way – and that’s why Celeste Hobden and Joshua Cope decided to elope to Caloundra. No guests were present on March 8 at the Kings Beach boat ramp, where the ceremony was held.
Only their two handsome sons took part and no expensive reception was held afterwards ... just an intimate and personal occasion, full of love and commitment.
Even their honeymoon was turned into a family holiday at Kings Beach for the Burpengary couple.
Fate seemed to bring Celeste and Josh together: both were raised in Coolum Beach and attended primary and high school in the beachside town. But they didn’t actually know each other existed until meeting through mutual friends in July 2008 when Celeste was 18 and Josh was 23.
“We were planning a big wedding for 2012
but I fell pregnant in 2011 and therefore the wedding was put on hold as we both relocated to Gladstone for work,” Celeste recalled.
“We had our first son and bought our first home. We then planned our wedding for the second time for April 2014 and went from a big wedding to immediate family only.
“Unfortunately, on February 13, 2014, I lost my mum to brain cancer and therefore again the wedding was cancelled.
“We moved to Brisbane in late 2014 for work, and had our second son in 2015.
“Third time ’round, we wanted to elope. “We wanted it to be purely about us. “Eleven years together and we are still so incredibly strong and in love.
“Between everything we have been through, we have stuck by one another.
“We’re now happily married and so smitten being husband and wife.”
