WHAT Is THE VI­TAL­ITY NET­BALL world CUP?

The Vi­tal­ity Net­ball World Cup is held ev­ery four years, show­cas­ing the top tier in­ter­na­tional tal­ent in the sport. This year the com­pe­ti­tion is be­ing held in Liver­pool in the United King­dom.

Five Light­ning play­ers and head coach Noe­line Tau­rua are par­tic­i­pat­ing in the VNWC19 – which is a ten-day tour­na­ment that tipped off yes­ter­day.

Six­teen teams are com­pet­ing, from four pools in stage one in a round robin format. The teams com­pet­ing are Aus­tralia, New Zealand, South Africa, Uganda, Eng­land, Ja­maica, Samoa, Fiji, Trinidad and Tobago, North­ern Ire­land, Zim­babwe, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Bar­ba­dos, Sin­ga­pore and Scot­land.

Chan­nel Nine have the broad­cast­ing rights in Aus­tralia with all games avail­able to stream live or catch up on at 9 Now.

All Aus­tralian Sam­sung Di­a­monds games will also be shown live

(or close to – de­pend­ing on sched­ul­ing) on Chan­nel Nine’s Wide World of Sport.

The first Di­a­monds game will be shown on Fri­day 12 July from 8pm against North­ern Ire­land.
