The Weekend magazine spoke with University of the Sunshine Coast social media and public relations educator Dr Karen Sutherland about creating a career online.
Here are her tips:
- You need to know your audience and know how to communicate well with your audience. - Have goals and objectives you want to achieve. - Some posts have no purpose and they are trying to talk to everybody. You need to find your target audience and orientate your posts towards that.
- Look at the analytics to establish who are looking at your posts and when.
- Really look at creating content that is valuable to your audience.
