Rain was an unexpected bonus when Christine Howlett married Dale Cook on May 4 at Pelican Waters Golf Club. They say raindrops are a sign of good luck on a wedding day, so maybe they were responsible for the perfect day that transpired.

“I was surprised that I wasn’t bothered by the rain,” the bride said later. “I thought I would be so upset if it rained on our day but when the time came, I didn’t mind the rain at all and I love some of our raindrop photos.”

Shellbells Photography captured the happy moments of the big day, which was styled with a cocktail theme by Cloud Nine Weddings, allowing the 70 guests and bridal party to mingle freely and truly relax.

Christine says they now look forward to “having forever with each other” and have made a home in Mooloolah Valley.
