Impressive dining venues and eateries are scattered across the Sunshine Coast, with our talented chefs among some of the best in the country.
As a leading news source, the Sunshine Coast Daily recognised its position to support these local businesses with its large-scale Sunshine Coast Restaurant of the Year Awards.
Each week, a restaurant will be mystery reviewed by one of our six judges, who will base their scores on more than just the food.
They will also critique the service, ambience, wine list and the cleanliness and presentation at the restaurant.
Restaurants will be sectioned into four categories: casual dining, sophisticated/fine dining, club/function centre restaurants, and Asian/middle Eastern cuisine.
Each week, a review of a finalist will feature in a double-page spread in the Saturday Weekend magazine of the Daily, alongside a series of photos showcasing the restaurant at its best.
By the end of this year, an array of different venues and cuisines will be reviewed, with the winners in each category announced, together with an overall Restaurant of the Year Award winner.
