Radial shock wave therapy is an advanced treatment for chronic tendon injuries, it applies high-frequency shock waves directly to a tendon through a specific applicator.

The machine triggers a healing response inside the tendon that otherwise has stopped healing by itself. It’s commonly used to treat conditions like Plantar fasciitis, Tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis as well as Calcific tendinopathy of the shoulders and hips.

Osteopath Dr Rachael Poustie, has a clinical passion for treating chronic tendinopathies and other soft tissue injuries and conditions that have been unresponsive to different types of therapy. Rachel has been using radial shock wave therapy since 2013 with tremendous success.

This revolutionary treatment that was once only available to elite athletes is now available for Sunshine Coast residents at the Advanced Health Pain Injury & Spinal Clinic.
