Hatop & haproxyctl

hatop is an interactive ncurses client for HAProxy whereas haproxyctl is a utility for managing HAProxy from the command line. Neither of them is required for HAProxy to work but they can make your life easier should you decide to install them. On Debian and Ubuntu Linux systems you can install them as follows:

# apt-get install hatop haproxyctl

haproxyctl allows you to quickly administer and overview HAProxy with its handy command line options: $ sudo haproxyctl show health $ sudo haproxyctl show stat The first command allows you to quickly check the status of HAProxy whereas the second command returns counters for each proxy and server. The image on the final page shows the hatop utility in action. For hatop to work, you will need to have the HAProxy Unix socket enabled.
