A GnuPG Sandbox

-

You can set up a separate GnuPG configuration if you want to follow our examples without affecting your own GnuPG setup. You can either append a --homedir” option to each gpg command or set GNUPGHOME . Both point to a directory where GnuPG should maintain its configuration, including your sandbox key-ring. Going with the latter option, here’s how to set up a new sandbox: $ export GNUPGHOME=~/sandbox.gpg $ mkdir -m 700 $GNUPGHOME $ gpg --gen-key Remember you’ll need to unset “GNUPGHOME” or use “--homedir=~/.gnupg” to access your real configuration.
