The latest snapshot of this open source operating system includes LibreSSL (replacing OpenSSL), support for the Bhyve virtual machine, and the latest drivers from FreeBSD’s 2.0-CURRENT branch, which this operating system is based on.

As the release announceme­nt ( www.trueos.org/blog/ trueos-17-12-release) notes, there have been “over 1,100 OpenRC services have been created for third-party packages”, while OpenRC services for FreeBSD have been improved, making the boot time significan­tly shorter.
