It’s like looking for a needle in a haystack…

You have two options to maintain the entries in your password manager. The first is to create a separate database for each category of password. For instance, all your social media accounts can be saved onto one database, and you similarly configure databases for your shopping portals and your email accounts. The other option is to use a single database, but group entries under headings so that you can easily keep track. Neither bitwarden, Encryptr nor LazLock lets you create multiple databases. With bitwarden you can create folders, inside which you can create multiple entries. You can also mark entries as favourites, such as the websites you visit most frequently. Where possible, it will also automatically list the available credentials for the website open in the current tab. You can also search for entries using website URL, or username.

Encryptr doesn’t even let you create groups or club similar entries. Instead it lists all the entries alphabetically, based on the label.

Apart from creating groups and subgroups, both PasswordGorilla and KeePassXC also let you create multiple databases. You can also configure KeePassXC to launch multiple instances, so that you can have different databases open at once.
