You can create multiple groups and sub-groups within the parent root directory. When adding a new entry within a group, the tool will let you configure autofill as well as set the expiry for the password. This is a useful feature that can be used as a reminder to change the password for sensitive accounts such as email. Unlike the other tools on our list, KeePassXC also boasts extensive keyboard shortcuts. For instance, press Ctrl+N to create a new entry within the selected group, Ctrl+E to edit the selected entry, Ctrl+U to launch the URL and Ctrl+V to perform autofill. You can also lock the database with the Ctrl+L shortcut. The small search bar in the top-right of the window performs partial matching. You can’t search using the name of groups, however.
