LazLock

Unlike the other tools here, LazLock doesn’t require installation. You only have to extract the tarball and double-click LazLock in the extracted directory to launch the program. This portability gives you the ability to carry your passwords vault with you in a USB key at all times.

The vast list of default categories such as Banking, Software, Email and Social Media is listed in the sidebar on the left. The right-hand side of the window is split into two. The top lists all the entries within the selected category. When you select an entry in this frame, all the details such as URL, username and password are displayed below.

There are only mundane shortcuts such as Ctrl+S to save the database, while mouseover on the buttons doesn’t provide tooltips. Instead, the purpose of each button is displayed in the bottom-left.
