Fedora seems to be somewhat overlooked these days. Here we have a distro developed with the backing of the world’s richest open source company and containing the latest versions of new software (so Red Hat can evaluate it for their commercial offerings), yet it has a fairly low profile. Fedora is often a step or two ahead of other distros in adopting new technology, and so installing this can give you a glimpse into the future. It can also give you a capable and well-supported distro that should do just about anything you need.
