You will need:

• White wool

• Scissors

• Craft glue

• Pipe cleaners or twigs

• Ribbon

• Beads, sequins, stick-on gems, googly eyes or any other decorations you want to use!

What to do:

Step 1. Grab the ball of wool and start wrapping wool around two or three fingers, leaving about 10cm hanging off the end. Depending on how thick you want to make your snowman’s head, we recommend wrapping the wool about 30-50 times. When you think it’s thick enough, leave about the same length of wool at the end and snip. Keeping the loops together, gently slide them off your fingers.

Step 2. Grab the two ends and tightly tie them around the loops like you’re creating a small parcel. Then seal with a knot.

Step 3. Using scissors, gently go around the edges and cut the loops, but don’t cut the long ends yet! It should now start to look like a pom pom, so just fluff it out a bit more and trim the bits to make it more even.

Step 4. Repeat the above steps for the snowman’s body, but this time wrap the wool around four fingers about 40-60 times or more if you want a big round body.

Step 5. Take the loose ends of the two pom poms and tie them together to form the snowman. Trim any excess wool or loose ends.

Step 6. Now it’s time to decorate your snowman with your craft supplies! We gave ours a ribbon scarf and used pipe cleaners to make little headphones and arms. Twigs make great arms too!
