Lesson 1: Skill Up
First up, you’ll need to master…
Hiding – Play lots of games of Hide and Seek and challenge yourself to come up with a better hiding place each time.
Sneaking – Tiptoe, crawl and dash around your house without being seen or heard.
Escaping – Practise leaving rooms quickly and quietly, plus talking your way out of sticky situations. Eavesdropping – Get a pal to go into a room, close the door and tell a story. Put your ear to the door and concentrate on making out the words. To make the words clearer, try holding a glass up to the door and listening through it!
Observing – Start taking notes on everything you see and hear (a man walking his dog, a car alarm going off, your sister taking out the garbage) and what time these events took place.
Covering your tracks – Clean up after yourself and wipe away fingerprints and footprints so no one will know you were there! Breaking codes – Turn to our code-breaking puzzles over the page to get started!
