 Goosebumps are a natural reflex that we can’t control. It can happen when we feel scared, excited, happy or chilly, and can be triggered by a simple sound or noise, or even a scary memory.

 Animals get goosebumps too! Some animals get them when they’re frightened to make their fur stand on end. This makes them appear bigger and scarier to their enemies.

 Goosebumps are known as ‘chicken skin’ in China, and ‘goose pimples’ in the United Kingdom.
