What inspired this collection?

Cozy & Magical is inspired by a Dickens style village Christmas with a subtle Victorian vibe, meaningful traditions, vintage collectables and the magic of the holiday season.

How did you go about curating the colour palette?

Since this is my second holiday collection, I wanted the colours to coordinate perfectly with my first with a focus on the sweeter colours within the same palette I used for Cozy & Joyful. Using pretty shades of pink and berry were so perfect for colouring many of the prints in this festive collection in order to make them both whimsical and unique.

How do you see these prints being used by quilters and sewists?

From holiday pyjamas with the Cozy & Magical flannels to heirloom quilts made using the sixteen quilting cottons, the possibilities for quilters and sewists are endless. First on my own to-make list is this year’s holiday quilt and five new stockings for our fireplace mantelpiece!

Which is your favourite print from the range?

That’s tough for me to choose just one! Christmastide Town is so special and truly evokes the story of the collection, but the Nutcrackers are so dear to me since we collect them, and the Warm and Cozy intarsia sweater inspired print is my dream print for making holiday decor!
