FABRICS USED
■ All fabrics are Kona Cotton Solids by Robert Kaufman in Lagoon, White, Citrus, Jade Green, Pear, Pomegranate, Carrot, Brt. Pink, Magenta, Grellow and Watermelon.
■ The backing fabric is Pink from the Bright Days collection by Ann Kelle for Robert Kaufman.
CUTTING OUT
1 From each of the ten coloured fabrics cut:
■ One (1) 31/2in x 18in.
2 From the grey fabric cut:
■ Seventeen (17) 31/2in x WOF. Subcut a total of eighty two (82) Template A pieces, cutting half with the printed template face up, and the other half with the printed template face down in order to make reverse pieces.
3 From the background fabric cut:
■ Thirteen (13) 1¼in x WOF. Subcut thirty two (32) 1¼in x 91/2in and forty one (41) 1¼in x 5in.
■ Five (5) 31/2in x WOF. Subcut ten (10) 31/2in x 18in.
■ Seven (7) 31/2in x WOF. Subcut forty one (41) Template B.
■ Four (4) 151/2in squares. Cut each square along both diagonals in order to make a total of sixteen side setting triangles.
■ Two (2) 8in squares. Cut each square in half along one diagonal in order to make a total of four corner triangles.
■ Eight (8) 1¼in x WOF (sashing).
■ Seven (7) 21/2in x WOF (borders).
4 From the binding fabric cut:
■ Eight (8) 21/2in x WOF.
MAKING THE RECTANGLE UNITS
5 Take one colour and one background
31/2in x 18in strip, and sew them both together along the lengths. Press the seam towards the coloured fabric. Repeat with each of the remaining colour strips.
6 Subcut each of the units into 31/2in x
