Foundation Paper Piecing fanatic Yvette Niesel has been growing and nurturing her own community of quilters online through her company, Piecing It Real. Piecing It Real is an online FPP membership where quilters can learn the art of Foundation Paper Piecing, all the way from their first stitch to mastering complex and intricate designs, through helpful self-paced video tutorials. Forget trawling through blog posts and trying to work out which way is up on your templates, Yvette’s carefully curated videos are just the thing to have on hand throughout your FPP journey, with no skipped steps along the way.

One of the best things about joining the Piecing It Real community is the friends you’ll make. There’s nothing better than chatting about quilting with someone that loves it as much as you do! Yvette is always on hand to nurture your skills, and you can also meet other members through exciting swaps and sewalongs. Twice-monthly sewalongs with unique Block of the Month patterns take place over Zoom, so you can stitch and natter with quilters from across the globe, without having to even leave your front door! If you can’t make a meeting, no bother – Yvette records all virtual get-togethers so that even if life gets in the way, you won’t miss a thing.
The friendship swaps are also a great way to get to know (and make something special for) other like-minded quilters, and receive something to treasure in return.
