■ Quilt top fabrics are from the Speckled collection by Ruby Star Society in Sorbet (Fabric A), Pale Pink (Fabric B), Bright Blue (Fabric C), Warm Red (Fabric D), Peony (Fabric E), Clementine (Fabric F), Berry (Fabric G), White Gold (background) and Candy Pink (binding). ■ Backing fabric is Strawberry Friends in Pale Peach from the Strawberry and Friends Collection by Ruby Star Society.

CUTTING OUT

From each of Fabrics A, D and F cut: ■ Sixteen (16) Quilt Template A.

From each of Fabrics C, E and G cut: ■ Twelve (12) Quilt Template A.

From the background fabric cut:

■ One hundred and sixty eight (168) Quilt Template B.

■ Twenty one (21) 9in squares.

From Fabric B cut:

■ Forty two (42) 7¼in squares.

From the binding fabric cut:

■ Eight (8) 2¼in x WOF.

PIECING THE ORANGE PEEL BLOCKS

Take one Template A and one Template B piece. Fold each piece in half and make a finger-pressed crease. Place the two pieces RST with the background arc on top and the creases lined up. Pin along the curve and at the ends, as shown in Fig A. Sew along the curve and press open.
