Use Hazel as a digital housekeeper for your work
Mojave’s Desktop Stacks are great, but they only work on the desktop, and they merely organise documents in piles rather than doing things with them. By contrast, Hazel ($32 – about £25, noodlesoft.com) can monitor folders and perform actions on items added to them.
The walkthrough below gets you started, but do experiment further with the app’s rules, because they’re hugely powerful. Also, explore the Trash tab, which contains App Sweep. This removes an app’s support files when the original app is deleted, rather than you having to dig around in Library folders.
