How to Optimise iOS device storage

1 View storage breakdown

Go to Settings > General > iPhone/iPad Storage. At the top of the page, the bar graph provides a visual breakdown of your device’s storage usage. This helps you know what to target – apps, photos, messages, or something else.

2 Browse your apps

Scroll down to see your apps, listed in order of decreasing storage use. Media apps (books, comics, music, videos) are good candidates for manual clean-ups – just ensure any data you delete is backed up somewhere or available online.

3 Offload an app

Tap an app and you’ll see its size, along with the space its documents and data take up. With games, that’s your status/progress. Tap Offload App to keep the data but remove the app itself from your iOS device.
