How to Apply Screen Time to your family >

1 Hold on to the key

If you’re a parent, you’ll like Screen Time’s integration with Family Sharing (see bit.ly/mffamshr). On your child’s device, go to Settings > Screen Time and set up the feature. If it’s already set up, tap a child’s name under ‘Family’.

2 Lay down some rules

You’ll be walked through setup and asked to set a Parent Passcode. Keep it private so your kid can’t override your choices. Return to this page to check usage and make changes. Ensure Include Website Data is switched on.

3 When time runs out

Let’s say your kid is playing a game and reaches your imposed time limit. You can extend playtime by 15 minutes or override it until the end of the day. If you don’t, they’ll be unable to use that app, app category or device until tomorrow.
