HOW TO Add Alexa to your iPhone

1 Install the app

First things first: head to the App Store, find the Alexa app and download it. Run the app for the first time, sign in, then tap the Alexa icon in the centre of the bar at the bottom of the screen. It looks like a blue swirl.

2 Confirm it’s okay

Given that Alexa listens to and records your voice – though you won’t be able to trigger it with your voice, unlike saying “Hey Siri” – you’ll have a few permissions to accept before you can use this feature. Allow them all.

3 Speak up

The wobbly bar at the bottom of the screen, which will be familiar if you’ve used Siri, indicates that Alexa is listening in, and means you now have full access to Alexa’s capabilities from your iPhone.
