Not too long ago, Mail allowed us to ç+x to get rid of messages. That would send the email to oblivion, not our Trash folder. As we seem to receive ever more unwanted emails containing dubious links to open, that option would be more appreciate­d than ever. I’d like it back to destroy those emails with swift keystrokes, not have bogus links hanging around waiting for a mistake to happen. by Tom Rogers

Alex says … You can use Edit > Delete or press ç+∫; that combo is less commonly used in apps – ç+x is widely used – so Apple may have done this as a safety precaution.
