The new Mac Pro and display will need a fresh aesthetic, allowing for flexibility and modularity – the opposite of the curvy
unibody iMac. Whatever the new look, it’ll surely propagate to other products.
The iMac Pro could use a tweak to restore access to memory slots, but 2019 may feel too soon to change it, in which case the 21.5in iMac may also have to wait. Ruling out touch control for Macs means that Apple won’t emulate Microsoft’s flexible Surface Studio. Can Jony Ive come up with something just as dramatic?
